Everyone of us face this problem at least once in our life time and wonder, what can be done to improve self-confidence but most of the time we get pressurized and make our situation still worse, so this article will explain some of the easiest ways by which one can build self-confidence and walk with their shoulders high. 

It is easy to say someone "Be confident" when they are low in self confidence but one the person who is undergoing the situation would know how hard is it come out of it.

1) What is self-confidence? Confidence is an attitude of an individual to see, understand and perceive life situations in a positive manner. So when a person is confident he/she is happy, talks about success all the time to everyone, encourages others, works hard, walks with shoulder and head high, smiles all the time and one can notice positive body language and gestures.



2) Building self confidence: The points which I am mentioning are conditional and if you adopt these steps, you will definitely find a marked difference in your life. 

Understanding the truth about life: This is the first and foremost thing one should learn to understand in life is that, there "no one greater than us and we are not greater then anybody else", if you understand this you can have a steady head and shoulders where ever you are, so remember this phrase.

3) Developing self confidence: Beginning your day with the positive note is very important, so always start your day by seeing positive things, listening positive things like songs, words from others. My personal way of doing is to wake up in the morning and read some positive phrase, this is mine " Either you run the day or the day runs you" by Jim Rohn and " What I think I become" - Buddha. 


4) How to handle success and failure: Our life is made up of good and bad times, and it follows a cycle and no one knows the reason for each one's life cycle, the problem is when good things happen we feel confident and smile all the time, but when something bad or unexpected happens, it makes ourselves demotivated and we start feel a sense of pressure around us.

So handling these changing situations is the key to remain confident all the time, but how do you do it? the best way is to see both success and failure with the same intent. I would like to explain a short story to explain the significance of seeing success and failure in the same way.


"A king asked his chief minister to write a note or advice and issue to all the people in his kingdom and the advice should be benefited for the people both at the time of happiness and sorrow"


" Next day the Chief minister came with the note saying that [Nothing is permanent]. So this is it, when you are able to understand that nothing is permanent, you are able to move positively in life with confidence" so next time when feel down and out, the first thing which should come into your mind is [Nothing is permanent].




5) How to create self confidence: When you are de-motivated due to lack of confidence, the best way to handle is to look back at the successful moments in your life. Many a times, when you were younger you must have seen success, appreciations from your friends, teachers, parents and people around you so think of those moments and make yourself better and say to yourself that you can do it again.



This is very important for people to understand, there are many definitions and explanations for confidence, but my explanation would be to "begin something"  

6) Self Motivation: No one understands you better than yourself, so make yourself comfortable by motivating yourselves with the following words. Try to read and feel these words regularly so that you don't get affected by the external environment.





7)Recognize the right people: Here, I refer right people as people with positive attitude or intent. But how do you identify them, well you got to understand that non-existence of negativity does not mean that the person is positive, if a person is not sick that does not mean that he/she is healthy, so a positive person is active, confident, humble, calm, courteous and they speak and act positively with their body language and gestures.


So being among the company these people itself is a great moral booster, because they are not just motivated but also they motivate others around them because they are not jealous about other's development.
